Qatar Chamber Chairman: Qatar-US Bilateral Trade Reaches QR9.1 Billion in First Half of 2021
Doha, October 13 (QNA) - HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani said that bilateral trade between the State of Qatar and the United States stood at QR 19.5 billion ($5.4 billion) in 2020, while it reached QR 9.1 billion ($2.5 billion) during the first half of 2021, making the United States one of Qatars most important trade partners.
During a meeting on Wednesday with a delegation of Congress members from the United States headed by Representative Darrell Edward Issa from California, HE Qatar Chamber Chairman noted the successful Qatari investments in the United States and the willingness of Qatar private sector in increase
its investments there.
HE the Chairman of Qatar Chamber confirmed the keenness of Qatar Chamber to strengthen cooperation ties between both countries businessmen in a way that helps in developing in the bilateral trade.
The meeting reviewed means of enhancing commercial and investment relations between the two countries, and investment opportunities available in both countries and areas of cooperation between Qatari and US businessmen in forging new commercial alliances whether in Qatar or in the US.
The meeting was attended by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the United States of America Sheikh Meshal bin Hamad Al-Thani, a number of QC board members and Qatari businessmen. (QNA)
